Folk Tale

 Hello bloggers today i'm gonna tell you what I read during hurumanu but first I need to tell what a folk tale is. Folk tales are stories that have been down through generation and the story has a lesson inside of it. The folk tale that I read was Empty Pot. 

The story is about a boy in China named Ping. Ping loves flowers and likes planting them. One day the Emperor is getting old and wanted a successor. He likes flowers and wanted them to pick his successor so he made a contest. The contest was to grow the most beautiful flower. Ping went to the palace to get his seed. He planted the seeds in his pot and watered it everyday. But the flower didn't grow. So he showed his pot to the emperor who confessed that he roasted the seeds beforehand. So Ping won the contest because everyone cheated and he didn't.

The End

The morale of the story is to be honest. 

     

My life on lockdown

Hello bloggers today I'm gonna tell you about my experience on lockdown. 

 My lockdown is like a school break for me. I biked outside, played video games with my friends and did some school work. The bad thing about the lockdown is that I only kept eating home foods. I was sick and tired of it until level 3 came. It was a miracle and I could eat a cheeseburger.

The game I'm gonna review is Number Maze. Number maze is a quite a good game. Each time you move the green block, the block reduced. To win make the green block go to zero next to the blue block to win. 

The game is quite easy and you can learn while playing it.

Lisa Carrington

 Hello bloggers today I'm gonna tell you interesting facts about Lisa Carrington.

(born 23 June 1989) is a New Zealand flatwater canoeist. She won three consecutive gold medals in the Women's K-1 200 metres at the 2012 Summer Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics and 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as gold in the same event at the 2011 Canoe Sprint World Championships. She is one of New Zealand's most successful Olympians ever, having won a total of four gold medals and one bronze medal.

• Born in Tauranga,Carrington was raised in Ōhope, a satellite town of Whakatane in the eastern Bay of Plenty, and is of Te Aitanga-a-Māhaki and Ngāti Porou descent. She attended Whakatane High School, and Massey University in Alba

• Canoeing 

In June 2009 she won a bronze medal at the World Cup regatta held in Szeged, Hungary, competing alongside Teneale Hatton in the women's K-2 1000 metres event. In May 2010 the pair won the gold medal in the same event at a World Cup regatta in Vichy, France.

 

• Carrington and Hatton won three gold medals at the 2010 Oceania Canoe Championships; they won the 500 and 1000 metres K-2 events and were joined by Rachael Dodwell and Erin Taylor to win the K-4 500 metres. The pair became the first New Zealanders ever to reach a World Championship A final at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Poznań, Poland;. Their time of one minute 42.365 seconds in the semi-finals meant they qualified third fastest for the final of the K-2 500 metres, however they finished the final in ninth position.

• At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she defended her gold medal in the K-1 200 metres event and won a bronze medal in the K-1 500 metres event. In doing so, she became the first New Zealand woman to win multiple medals at the same Olympic games. Carrington was the flag bearer at the 2016 closing ceremony. She is coached by Gordon Walker.

• On 3 August 2021, at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Carrington won her third consecutive gold medal in the K-1 200 metres event.On the same day, she and her crewmate Caitlin Regal won a gold medal in the K-2 500 metres event
