Skittle Observations

 Hello bloggers today we did a experiment with skittles.This is what we did. 

 We put the skittles in a warm water and the water coloured but the skittles turned colourless. 

Observations

• What things did you notice?  Can you make five observations?

•  The colours turned the water into the colours like if you put blue skittle on it the water turns blue but the skittle is colourless.  

•   If you shake it the colours merge. 

•   If you don’t shake it don’t merge.

•   It smelt like medicine.

•   It are sticky

• Did anything surprise you?  What weren’t you expecting to observe? I actually know what to expect. 

Wonderings

• What questions arose in your mind as you did this activity? What would happen if it’s cold water? 

•  Do you have any ideas about why certain things happened? I think the water is sucking the dye and the dye didn’t mix because there is an invisible barrier. Mixing it the barrier breaks.
