Te Tiriti O Waitangi (The treaty of Waitangi)

Hello bloggers today we have to do work about Te tiriti O Waitangi. My teachers gave us questions to answer and we have to read a text called Te Tiriti O Waitangi to get the answers. This is my work. Here is a question that you can answer by commenting. What do you know already about Te Tiriti O Waitangi?

  2. Hi Joshua
Well done on sharing lots of facts about Te Tiriti O Waitangi. I especially liked your google drawings in the timeline. If only we were all friends now!
In regards to your wordbank, commemoration can be about respecting/remembering a dead person like you said, or else remembering an event that took place, for example, signing the treaty. Compensation can be given to an injured person like you said, or also to someone who has been unfairly treated, for example, the Maori when their land was sold/taken for less than it was worth.
    Keep up the great work.
    Mrs Hastie
